Fat Metabolism and Cholesterol
To make a long story short, ingested fats are broken down in the stomach by lypolytic enzymes and emulsified by bile in the small intestin into phosophlipids, cholesterol's, and triglycerides and packed into chylomicrons then enter the bloodstream via: lymphatic system, where the liver has further oppertunity to break them down.  Phospholipids are released into the blood to the cells, some are broken down to fatty acids and glycerol for energy aerobic activity. Cholesterol, mostly LDL, is taken up by muscle tissue for tissue componest repair after exercise. HDL's are a bi-product of this process, so it would stand to saneness that exercise raises HDL while lowers the LDL cholesterols. Which are also necessary for the production of hormones. Estrogen for women; Testosterone for men. To have a total cholesterol level lower 200 mg./dcl. could actually be causing more harm than good.   Resistence exercise will increase the production of HDL's which eliminate LDL's. So if this is your desire, then get pumping! A truly healthy diet should consist of a total fat intake of no less than 15% of total calories. 


Protein Metabolism in Exercise & Diet

Our bodies transform ingested proteins into living body tissue.  Sounds good, but things can go wrong when you don't add certain nutrients!  Here's how it works:  Pepsin breaks down proteins and amino acids.  Proteins that contain all the essential amino acids need to be ingested every 3 to 4 hours to ensure the availability of all possible combinations of amino acids for celluler intake.  Since the body cannot store individual amino acids they cannot be used for cellular protein synthesis until all of the right combinations are present at once.  They are useless for protein synthesis unless they are combined with the required missing amino acids.  Oh no!  Your liver may want to take some of your amino acids to store and build catabolic enzymes for release during stress.  The liver builds proteins using amino acids so when your diet is insufficient in protein, amino acids cannabolize to produce glucose for energy with a toxic by-product of ammonia.  Sounds bad.  But there is hope!  This amino acid deamination usually occurs during strict dieting, over exertion, or from a too high protein intake.  Your amino acids need to be spared to rebuld your tissue and make structural repairs.  So, ingest the proper amount of proteins to prevent the cannabolization of amino acids.in organ & muscle tissue.

Vitamins are nutrients that are essential for life itself.  In fact the word vitamin comes from the Latin word 'vita' which means life.  There are two types of vitamins, fat soluable and water soluable.

Zinc is a mineral, a part of more than 70 major enzyme systems of the body.  Its function is synthesis of proteins and repair of the genetic controller of life itself, the DNA and RNA.  The suggested RDA dosage is 15 mg a day..  Obviously it is essential.

Natural Nutrition
In every form of life, from human to plant life, we are composed of atoms and molecules. Atoms and molecules would not exist without enzymes, the Principle Life of Cosmic Energy, reciprocal in nature, magnetic and intangible.

Enzymes are so Dynamic they remain alive, in a state of suspended animation, dormant for hundreds if not thousands of years, within nuts and seeds, and under the right conditions, will promote catalyst-ic chemical action and regeneration in the atoms and molecules composing your body, "IF", and only if, they have not been roasted, toasted cooked, sautéed, boiled, fried, or heated in ANY way.

A diet of five servings of fruits and vegetables a day is what the American Institute for Cancer Research and the National Cancer Institute says will prevent cancer.

Every single cell in your entire body depends upon vitamins, and or minerals to function at peak levels. A single deficiency in any single micronutrient is, in my opinion, the cause of 80% of all degenerative diseases.

     Once you have discovered the bliss which results from the application of a little study, and a lot of mental fortitude, you will never go back to the way you were living.
      Every part comprising the human biology is composed of microscopic cells containing the various elements mentioned above. These cells are continuously being used up in the course of human existence and must constantly be replenished to be rebuilt.
      A diet consisting, exhaustively, of cooked devitalized foods, inevitably results in the demise of these cells, creating disease.

The mineral content of the earth's soil continues to deteriorate at an ever accelerating pace as a result of world over population, and mass farming.
   This means that if you depend totally on a so called "balanced diet" for the required minerals of which the human biology is composed of, you will not obtain health unless you SUPPLIMENT!
Food grown on our depleted soil just doesn't do it for us any more. Supplementation in this highly processed day and age is an absolute must, especially for the fitness oriented individuals like you and I.
   In fact, exercise without supplementation is straight suicide. Athletes sweat out more minerals in 5 years than a sedimentary individual does in 75 years.
Our human genetic potential includes a life free of disease with a longevity potential of 120 to 140 years. To do such would require all 90 nutrients, which includes 60 essential minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 essential amino acids and 3 essential fatty acids.
   Degenerative, chronic diseases are totally preventable with supplementation of the aforementioned. There are five third world countries presently living out this genetic potential. They consistently consume high levels of 60 to 72 minerals with each meal.
   Due to the lack of attention to the basics of the human biology we Americans fall short of our genetic potential. Do not consider it an expense for the purchase of vitamin and mineral supplementation, but rather consider it an investment in your bank of health.
   After all, what good would all the money in the world do for you, if you do not possess your health? You will save many of thousands of dollars from unnecessary operations, besides the perpetual impairment to your health, as well as save you from premature old age and an untimely death.

  Here you have it in order of importance:
  1.) vitamins and minerals;      
  2.) essential fatty acids;
  3.) antioxidants;
  4.) glucosamine and chondroiten;
  5.) amino acids and creatine for exercise, body-building and athletes.
 
   I suggest getting you minerals in the "plant derived (organic) colloidal form".  You have to be sure they are "organic". Anyone can claim "colloidal". Colloidal refers to the size of the particle.  It is 700 times smaller than a red blood cell.  Metallic minerals can be broken down to a colloidal size but are still metallic.
   Metallic minerals have a toxicity level, organic minerals do not.  Organic minerals are negatively charged while the stomach lining is positively charged, which causes them to act as a magnet with a 98% bio-availability.  Metallic minerals do not possess this
capability.
